lanzarote

Lanzarote is the most north-western island of the Canary Islands archipelago. With a subtropical climate, Lanzarote is known as ‘the island of volcanoes’ owing to the volcanic area that extends over a large part of its surface, and the 25 volcanoes in the famous Timanfaya National Park located in the centre-south of the island.

Puerto del Carmen

One of Lanzarote’s main tourist areas. Located in the municipality of Tías, in the central area of the island, Puerto del Carmen is just 12 km from the capital, Arrecife, 10 minutes from the international airport and 20 minutes from Timanfaya National Park.

Beaches

Seven beaches of golden sand and turquoise-coloured water spread along over six kilometres of coastline.

Sports

Golf, diving, sailing, hiking, cycling, karting… A whole world of sporting possibilities thanks to the perfect combination of beaches and nature. The valley of La Geria and the Famara and Los Ajaches mountain ranges are the perfect places for long strolls in the fresh air.

Leisure and culture

Puerto del Carmen offers an infinite range of cultural and leisure activities: museums, wineries, artisanal crafts, the carnival in February, Canarian wrestling competitions and shows, shops, restaurants…
