Commitment to renewable energy
In 2007, we started our journey towards sustainability by installing our first solar thermal facility. The use of renewable energy allows us to drastically reduce atmospheric emissions, complying with the United Nations Kyoto Protocol on climate change.
We are working hard to improve the quality of life of the people living in the area we operate it, that’s why we collaborate with different social organisations and take part in projects that help to improve the local community.

At Gloria Thalasso & Hotels, we believe in sustainable tourism and in reducing our environmental impact as much as possible. That’s why we’ve been working for over a decade on achieving the ECO GLORIA 20/20 objective and boosting sustainable development. Our objective was to supply at least 20% of our energy from renewable sources. At Gloria Palace San Agustín Thalasso & Hotel, we have succeeded in supplying 25% of the energy consumed by our facilities from clean and renewable energy sources.

At Gloria Ízaro Club Hotel, one of our greatest concerns is reducing our electricity consumption. That’s why we have started carrying out actions such as gradually replacing all conventional lighting with low-consumption LED lighting.
